HISTORY

MDSI was initially established in 1983 as an outreach project of the Liverpool Migrant Resource Centre.to provide settlement and re-settlement services for migrants and refugees residing in Campbelltown, Camden and Wollondilly. In 1987 it incorporated as an independent organisation called Campbelltown Migrant Services Association (CMSA) and in 1993 changed its name to Macarthur Migrant Resource Centre (MMRC).

In 2004 we launched our new name Macarthur Diversity Services Inc. (MDSI) reflecting our commitment to providing new and innovative services throughout the Macarthur region. Based on an integrated service delivery system our programs are specifically tailored to meet the needs of the community through four broad service areas including child, family, youth and aged. We believe that our strength is in our diversity of services and staff. We offer a selection of 13 settlement and community services, we employ staff fluent in over 15 community languages from over 18 cultural backgrounds, we have volunteers fluent in over 14 community languages and 20 cultural backgrounds.

MDSI is:

  • client focused
  • supports the development of people’s skills by furthering their potential

 COMPLAINTS, FEEDBACK AND SUGGESTIONS

We have client evaluation forms, client surveys, group activity survey's, carer questionnaires and other informal feedback processes all designed to ensure that we delivery high quality programs and services.
