• MDSI CALD Carers Group
  This group was originally funded by NSW Health in 2005. The program aims to develop and enhance carer support, carer advocacy, networks and activities for the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities in the Macarthur region.
  
  Currently the support group is unfunded and meets monthly at MDSI to discuss topics of interest and provide support. In summary the group delivers:
  
  - Individual client support
  - Advocacy
  - Carer activities, outings, networks & support group
  - Information
  - Emotional support and counselling
  - Education and training
  - Respite
  - Assistance in accessing emergency relief
  
  Currently the group has 15 active members from a range of cultural backgrounds. MDSI would like to ensure the long term viability of the CALD Carer support program by acquiring funding to enhance and develop ongoing support services.
  
  The group meets on the last Tuesday of the month at 10am at Level 2/101 Queen Street Campbelltown
